Amethyst is a 2007 feminine floral-fruity from Lalique, composed by Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich. It opens with a bright berry accord — black currant, blackberry, blueberry and strawberry — which gives way to a floral heart of peony, peppered rose and ylang-ylang. The drydown softens into musk, woody accords and Bourbon vanilla for a powdery, sensual finish. The bottle nods to R. Lalique’s 1920 Epines design, topped with crystal blackberry decorations and clothed in seductive purple. Available as eau de parfum in 50 and 100 ml sizes and as a 50 ml perfume extract.
