No. 1 by Clive Christian, launched in 2001, is presented as an Oriental Woody fragrance for men. It opens with a spicy-citrus blend — nutmeg, cardamom, lime and mandarin — that gives way to a heart of iris, ylang-ylang, jasmine and other white florals. The base layers combine sandalwood, amber, musk, vanilla and tonka bean for a warm, woody finish. The fragrance is offered as a luxury pure parfum (30 ml) and as a 50 ml eau de parfum; a limited Baccarat crystal bottle set with a brilliant-cut diamond and gold inset is noted on the product page and received a UK FIFI award for special packaging in 2006.
